About Fabio Zanino
Zanino's aesthetic dips its roots into the concept of travel and finds expression through the decontextualization of unique objects randomly found on the road.
In his series of pieces called Decostruzioni words leave their original purpose and meaning behind in order to become pure shapes. The surface of road signs and warning plates is cut into small pieces and re-assembled into abstract artworks. My practice can be broken down into 3 main phases: objet trouvé > de-construction > assemblage, in which the "iconoclastic act" and the "street art" draw energy from each other.
